We just returned from an amazing trip planned for us by Churchill Safaris. We didn’t know what to expect, as we had been to several other African countries, but never to this part of the continent. We were pleasantly surprised by how welcoming everyone was,how lovely the people are, and by how fabulous the accommodations were. We went primarily for the gorilla and chimpanzee treks, but we would like to return some day to see the northern part of Uganda and spend more time in Rwanda. We highly recommend Churchill Safaris, and if you should book a trip with them, ask for Martin for your guide. We loved him!
We recently enjoyed at ten day trip with Churchill in Uganda and Rwanda and our guide/driver Emmy Maseruka was fantastic. From the minute he picked us up at the Entebbe airport, we knew we were in excellent hands. He is a very careful driver (traffic and road conditions are CRAZY), a kind and thoughtful companion, and an amazing source of…
I booked on the 13 day Rwanda/Uganda trip in July this year. It was probably one of the best tours I have ever done.
My guide Isaac was professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful and informative. An all round lovely guy, great company with an infectious giggle ! We were a team 🙂
In fact I called him my lucky charm as all my experiences were outstanding. I did the Chimpanzee tracking, as well as Gorilla Trekking in both Uganda and Rwanda. Each time I know Isaac was working away quietly in the background to make sure my experience was the best possible. Isaac was also an excellent animal and bird spotter !
Isaac made some of the long driving days so very interesting, talking about the history and politics of Uganda as well as describing and explaining the way of life for all the hardworking Ugandans we saw as we travelled.
Together with three friends, I travelled to Uganda and Rwanda in January 2018 for a period of ten days. We visited Kibale, Queen Elizabeth NP, Bwindi and Volcanoes NP, the latter two for gorilla tracking.
Not only did the program have a very good selection of locations/activities/accomodation, our trip was also made all the better by our knowledgeable and friendly guide and driver Charles, who made sure we got everywhere on time, that we were correctly dressed, had enough water to drink and answered all our questions. I’m interested in birdwatching and so he also organised a separate bird guide during two days.
We had booked our trip through a Swedish travel agency and so had not chosen Churchill directly, but I would for sure recommend the company to anyone and let it be my first choice for the next safari trip.
