Trip Highlights

  • Kazinga Channel. It is home to one of the largest concentrations of hippopotamus. While at the park, you will also find here herds of elephants, buffalo and other wildlife. Tremendous variety of bird species is found here as well. This includes the African Eagle, Pied Kingfishers and Open-Billed Stork.
  • Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The forest is home to over half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. Interacting with these gentle giants is something you will remember for all your life. Stretched over 321 sq km, the rainforest boasts of 90 mammal species, including a range of primates. And yes, there are bird species as well.
  • Lake Mburo. The park has distinctly different fauna offering you an opportunity to see Zebra, Eland Antelope, Topi, Acacia and Impala. In the park lakes, you will find hippos, crocodiles and a range of water birds. Optional activities include Boat Safari and Horseback Riding Safaris.

Day One

Entebbe – Kampala

On your arrival, you are welcomed by a representative at Entebbe Airport. You will be transferred to Kampala to a pre-booked hotel. You may stay in the hotel or opt for activities like city tour and eating out.

Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa.

On the way, you stop at the famous Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Take a walking safari with the rhinos and use a ferry to cross the river Nile.

Day Three

Murchison Falls National Park.

Game drive across the vast 3,893 sq km national park which offers you a chance of viewing residents like lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo and hartebeest.  On the boat trip later, you will get to watch crocodiles and hippotamus at the river banks.

Day Four

Murchison Falls National Park – Hoima.

On the way to Hoima , you stop en route at the top of a famous waterfall.

Hoima – Kibale

The park is home to the species of primates that include chimpanzees, L’Hoest monkeys and red colobus. Along with the elusive forest elephant, you also get to see over 355 bird species.

Chimp tracking – Queen Elizabeth

You leave for Chimpanzee tracking watching them squabbling and swinging from the trees. It is certainly a thrilling sight. Queen Elizabeth National Park known for having one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game park or reserve across the world.

You move into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to stay for two nights.

You leave for gorilla trekking moving through the dense rainforest. When you do come across the gorillas, the experience is astounding. Optional activities here include Batwa Trail, Waterfall Walk, visit to sacred Ngarama Cave and Village Walk.

Bwindi – Lake Mburo

At night, you will put up at Lake Mburo National Park, an extension of the Tanzanian Plains.
