You leave for Murchison Falls National Park, stopping at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which falls in route. Objective of creating the sanctuary was to save Uganda’s rhinos from complete extinction. Sight of black and white rhinos here is certainly going to delight the wildlife enthusiasts. This is a safari where you may remain just a few feet away from the rhinos. For crossing the Nile River, you will catch a ferry. Overnight stay is at the Lodge.”]

Murchison falls

Murchison Falls.

approx- 3 hours.

After taking breakfast you leave for an early morning game drive across the undulating land of Uganda’s largest National Park. The vast park is home to a number of animal species. You get a chance of viewing some of the park animals that include lions, giraffes and hartebeest. Birders will appreciate watching the secretary bird and the black chested snake eagle.
Post afternoon, you go for a exhilarating boat trip to world famous Murchison Falls, where the Nile falls through a small 7 meter gap 43 meters down into Lake Albert. At the banks of the Nile, you will find creatures like crocodiles and hippopotamus. You may also decide to get off hike up the side of the falls. For the night, you stay at the lodge.”]

Murchison – Kibale

approx-3 hours

You leave for Kibale National Forest for two nights. You go through the 795 sq km of rain forest in Western Uganda. Extraordinary thirteen species of primates reside at the place. These include chimpanzees, red colobus and L’Hoest monkeys. There are more than 355 bird species and several mammals as well. For the night you will put up at the lodge.”]

Now is the  time to go for chimpanzee tracking. Go early morning along the network of forest trails. In afternoon, you visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, having a lot of bird species, vegetation and wildlife. You may also opt for local tourism initiatives

Queen Elizabeth National park.

You are set to spend two nights in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is known for offering one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world. It is the second largest National Park in Uganda, having everything from open Savannah to rain forest. The park boasts of over 100 mammal species along with an astounding number of 606 bird species. This explains why it is termed a premier safari destination.”]

You will go on a game drive looking for lion prides and other wildlife. Ishasha-Bwindi Impenetrable forest.

Approx- 3 hours

You proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a two night stay. It is home to over half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. For anyone, interacting with these gentle giants is a kind of experience you will never forget. Bwindi rain forest spans 321 sq km and has 90 mammal species that includes primates as well as 23 Albertine Rift endemic bird species.”]

Bwindi -Batwa

approx- 2 hours

Early morning, you set off for gorilla trekking. You hike through the verdant rain forest to come across the gorillas in their natural habitat. Be prepared for more or less actual trek time depending on the location of animals. Optional activities in Bwindi include Batwa Trail (watch the Batwa demonstrate hunting techniques; collect honey; make bamboo cups and point out medicinal plants); sacred Ngarama Cave (where Batwa King was entertained by traditional music and dance); Village Walk (dramatic settings for cultural tour).”]

You spend the night at Lake Mburo National Park, a 371 sq km extension of the Tanzanian Plains. You get to see Eland Antelope, Zebra, Topi, Impala and Acacia. In the lakes, you will find hippos, crocodiles and several water birds that include swamps hide black and yellow papyrus gonalek. Optional activities in the park include horseback riding and boat safari.”]
