A Tourist witnesses birth of a baby Gorilla in Mgahinga National Park

An American Citizen Dina Tamimi who currently lives in United Arab Emirates set off for a normal gorilla tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. She set off to track the Nyakagezi group but neither did she know was going to witness the birth of a baby gorilla. The last time a gorilla gave birth during client visit was in 1998 making Dina Tamimi and her few tourists the luckiest trackers in over 18 years.

 

The  Nyakagezi Gorilla family is lead by Silver Back Mark. The mother of the baby is Cyizanie. The number of Gorillas in this group is now 11 members.
